While New Mexico truck accidents have a variety of causes, one of the most common reasons is an improper lane change. Semi-trucks, due to their length, have large blind spots along the sides of the truck, as well as behind the truck. Truck Driver Cited for Improper Lane Change After Rollover Accident
Earlier this month, one man was injured in a truck accident that occurred when the driver of a box truck began a lane change without checking to see if the lane was clear. According to a local news report, the accident took place on a Georgia highway, not far from Atlanta. Evidently, the truck driver started to change lanes when he collided with a motorist whose vehicle was traveling in the truck driver’s destination lane. The truck driver then over-corrected, and the truck rolled, blocking several lanes of traffic. In all, three vehicles were involved in the collision. One man was taken to the hospital as a result of the injuries he sustained. Police later cited the driver of the box truck for making an improper lane change.
