A Truck Flips Over, Killing a UPS Driver
Earlier this month, a UPS truck driver was killed when his semi-truck collided with a median wall near the Tri-State tollway near Chicago. According to news reports, the truck driver was proceeding in the southbound lanes at around 2:30 in the morning when he hit the wall. His truck then flipped over, and the truck was completely destroyed on impact. Sadly, the truck driver was killed on impact and had to be pulled from the wreckage. Even several hours later, the highway was closed, and there were significant backups through the morning hours. State Police were investigating the crash and have reported that the roads were wet when the accident occurred, but they have not ruled out other possible reasons the crash occurred. UPS released a statement that they were deeply saddened by the events and were working with investigators.
